Backend, MLOps Engineer

Do you dream of pushing the boundaries of medical imaging? Vista.ai is a small, rapidly growing startup developing cutting-edge MRI technology. We’re looking for a passionate and talented MLOps Engineer focused on the infrastructure for our ML development.

In this role, you will focus on:

1. Model Pipeline
   • Deploy models into production environments and manage their lifecycle.
   • Ensure that ML algorithms are performing as expected and meet business requirements.
   • Interface between the ML and platform teams
   • Strive for highly scalable, efficient, and easy-to-maintain ML systems.
     
     
2. Automation and Scalability
   • Establish and maintain a platform catered to a small company that facilitates the entire ML workflow including
     • Model prototyping
     • Data tracking for datasets, models, and annotations
     • Training experiment tracking
     • Deployment for our clinical workstations
     • Model or data updates
   • Implement robust and scalable solutions to handle large-scale data pipelines
   • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines

You’re a perfect fit if you have:

• • High proficiency in Python .
  • Experience with building and managing self-hosted ML pipelines using tools like MLFLow, Weights and Biases, ClearML , or others.
  • Experience with cloud platforms

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with medical imaging formats and tools including DICOM , NIfTI , and NRRD .
• High proficiency with TensorFlow and PyTorch frameworks.
• Strong background in machine learning , data engineering, and software development.

Bonus points for:

• A strong understanding of software development best practices (e.g., version control, unit testing)
• Experience with machine learning in MRI
• On-site work is strongly preferred
